Dive at the Similan Islands, Richelieu Rock, Hin Daeng and Burma (Myanmar) on the best liveaboards in Thailand, plus a great variety in daytrips and overnight diving trips around Phuket, the Phi Phi Islands and the Similans. Year round we can offer you all PADI divecourses. These are conducted in our PADI 5 Star Divecenter in Kata Beach, Phuket.
For trips to the Similan Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and Richelieu Rock, see below which options are possible on the departure date of your choice.
Please choose the date which you would like to start your trip to the Similans. We update the database on a daily basis, but please check to make sure there are still places available on the trip of your choice. The boats that depart every day,
A3 and A5 are not included in the search function.
The most important diving season on Phuket and the Thailand West Coast is from October till May. During this time of year we can offer a complete program of Phuket divetrips, of daytrips and overnight trips and of liveaboard diving safaris to the Similans, Surin, Richelieu Rock, Hin Daeng and Burma. Outside of this season courses, daytrips and overnight trips to the Phi Phi Islands are still possible. Also liveaboard diving safaris to Hin Daeng and the Phi Phi Islands are possible, albeit there is not much choice.
Thailand diving liveaboards from Phuket and Khao Lak are becoming increasingly popular, which is why we recommend to make a booking in advance. Take your time to read our website and have a look at the different boats and destinations. You will most probably find a boat, schedule and price that fits your needs. Diving is one of the safest and most fun leisure time activities, provided you have properly learnt how to dive. That is why it is important to receive good training in a comfortable environment. We have for example maximum four students per training group.
Here in Kata Phuket we have a completely equipped airconditioned classroom, books, slides and videos for the diving theory and a big pool for your first underwater experiences, specially designed and built for conducting divecourses. We can even offer you shower facilities to refresh yourself after your pool or beach diving.

Phuket dive travel general information

Situated just North of the equator, Phuket's warm tropical climate is from November till May being tempered by an easterly wind, and in the summermonths by a Westwind.
Year round the weather on Phuket is suited for scuba diving and liveaboards, but it is best from November till May with lots of sun. From June till October divers can expect some windy and wet days, but really bad it is rarely.
The 'low' summer vacation season can even be a very nice time to go diving Phuket, you will see far less divers under water and much lower hotel prices.

Phuket is the biggest island in Thailand and a well known tourist- and diving destination. Around one hours flight from Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur or Singapore Phuket is located ideally for a relaxed diving vacation. The time is GMT +7 hours, Singapore and Hong Kong -1 hour. Phuket dive travel Andaman Sea

The Andaman Sea is part of the Indian Ocean. Thailand's Andaman coast is about 870 kilometers long and runs from the Surin Islands on the Thai border with Myanmar (Burma) till the Koh Tarutao National Park on the border with Malaysia. Hundreds of islands lie in between, may of these you can reach by boat from Phuket. A part is uninhabited and surrounded by spectacular coral reefs.
To see the real Thailand, get of the beaten track. On many beaches you won't even find a footprint.

Phuket is the center of this beauty, where you can arrange a PADI divecourse, a liveaboard diving safari, a dive charter or one of the many adventure trips. The Similan Islands National Marine Park is one of the best scuba diving destinations in the world - liveaboards, daytrips and overnight trips are all possible. Thailand diving liveaboards to the further away situated Mergui Archipelago in Myanmar (Burma) are also getting increasingly popular.
The spectacular rockformations of Koh Phi Phi and Krabi are within easy reach by diving boat or local ferry. The limestone rocks of Phang Nga Bay are not to be missed (including the famous James Bond Island), and are best admired on a kayak or canoe trip through the mangroves, or by renting your own longtail boat and driver. A few hours to the North of Phuket is Khao Sok National Park where you can undertake jungle treks. Islands close by Phuket, like Koh Racha Yai, offer excellent diving possibilities and beautiful snorkeling in clear blue water. Whether you love scuba diving, snorkeling, discovery or simply relaxation, you can find it all on Phuket. |

Phuket travel beaches

Phuket not only has lovely diving to offer, also Phuket's beaches are world famous. The Westcoast of Phuket has some of the most beautiful beaches you will find anywhere in the world and during the sunny and dry November-May season the sea is calm, clear and warm.
Every beach has its own style and interesting things. Some, like Patong, are hotspots for night life and food, whereas others like Nai Yang and Nai Harn are a quiet oasis away from the bars and people.
And in between are delightful places like Kata Beach that offer a balance of peaceful relaxation within close vicinity to all the fun and activities you could want.

Thailand diving under water

The coral reefs of the Phuket diving area offer beautiful corals and are home to over 100 species of reeffish. Over 200 species hard coral play their part in the building of this incredible underwater ecosystem, and an unknown number species soft coral. Hundreds species of pelagic fish show themselves regularly in the rich waters of Thailand, including manta rays and the majestic whaleshark. The best season for whalesharks is from March till May, at divesites like Hin Daeng and Richelieu Rock, best accessible on a Thailand liveaboard diving safari from Phuket.
The great variety and abundance of reeffish in the Andaman Sea can be breath taking.

In Thailand's waters we can see four different species of seaturtle: the green turtle, hawksbill, leatherback and the ridley, and there are turtle nestsites in the area. Dolphins we often see with Thailand diving liveaboards at the Similan Islands, Burma and close to Phuket and sometimes there also are killer whales (orcas) and larger whales. The underwater reefs of the Andaman Sea in Thailand and Burma are a natural treasure that we can all help to preserve.
