King Cruiser Wreck
King Cruiser is a wreck which sank after this ferry collided with Anemone Reef on 4 May 1997, on the way from Phuket to Phi Phi. There still are many uncertainties and rumours about the sinking, but most important is that all passengers were taken to safety.
The 85 meters long wreck lies completely horizontal with the props at a depth of 32 meters and the captains cabin at 12 meters. The wreck is collapsing further and further, so a wreck penetration can not be conducted safely anymore.
There is an incredible abundance of fish on th wreck, big schools snapper and barracuda, lionfish, scorpionfish, moray eels, jacks, trevallies and other hunting fish. Sometimes we also see a turtle and nursesharks.
The visibility here is normally a bit less than at the other divesites in the same area. Because of that and because of the depth and often strong currents this is a divesite for advanced divers.
3,400 Baht for 3 dives (every day of the week).
Prices valid till 30 April 2012
At our other website you will also find a desciption of diving at the wreck of the King Cruiser including a video.
We hope to see you diving soon at King Cruiser in Phuket Thailand.
